Kentucky overcame first-half struggles Wednesday night to secure a 71-62 home win over Vanderbilt and improve to 16-4 overall plus 6-1 in conference play. The Wildcats outscored the Commodores 43-27 in the second half after trailing by seven at the break. Tyrese Maxey led Kentucky with 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting including 2-of-3 from 3-point distance plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also accounted for four rebounds and two assists. College Basketball Betting Trends
Kentucky
The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games. Kentucky is 1-4 ATS in its last five games following a straight up win.
Auburn
The Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Auburn is 1-4 ATS in its last five games following a straight up win.
Prediction:
These two squads are pretty evenly matched, but it just seems as though as far as this season goes the Wildcats are a little more battle-tested. With Kentucky having won four in a row, and getting a taste for a while that it cannot overlook any opponent last game with a poor first half against lowly Vandy, I think this is a great spot for the Wildcats to be road spoilers. Even if they do not win straight up, the spread provides a little cushion in what should be a close game throughout.
