Aztecs vs. Lobos Prediction
The fourth-ranked San Diego State Aztecs look for their 22nd straight win without a defeat tonight as they have a road test at the New Mexico Lobos. Can SDSU cover the double-digit spread?

Aztecs hold off Rebels
San Diego State secured a 71-67 victory Sunday at UNLV to improve to 21-0 overall and 10-0 in the Mountain West Conference. The Aztecs led 34-28 at halftime and kept control in the second half. Malachi Flynn led SDSU with 21 points on 6-of-14 shooting including 2-of-8 from 3-point distance plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also notched three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Trey Pulliam contributed 18 points and three boards. Jordan Schakel added 11 points and three caroms.
Lobos crushed by Wolf Pack
New Mexico lost by a count of 96-74 Saturday at Nevada to drop to 16-6 overall and 5-4 in conference action. The Lobos trailed 49-29 at halftime and were unable to recover. Zane Martin led New Mexico with 23 points on 8-of-19 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point range plus 4-of-6 at the charity stripe. He also accounted for four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Vante Hendrix tallied 19 points, five boards and two assists. Corey Manigault registered 13 points and five caroms. Keith McGee added 11 points and three dimes off the bench.
College Basketball Betting Trends
San Diego State
The Aztecs are 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games. San Diego State is 4-1 ATS in its last five road games.
New Mexico
The Lobos are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
Prediction:
While the Aztecs are obviously very good, this spread seems a bit too wide for comfort. The Lobos have not lost in 13 home games this season and also have a straight up neutral court win over Wisconsin to their credit. San Diego State struggled to put away UNLV Sunday and with New Mexico having one extra day of preparation, I like the hosts to keep it competitive tonight.
