Dayton vs. Richmond Prediction
An important matchup in the A-10 will ensue this evening when No. 7 Dayton visits 15-4 Richmond at 6:00 p.m. ET. Is six points too much to hand the underdog Spiders or is there more value for bettors when it comes to the total?

Dayton Player Spotlight
Obi Toppin finished with 24 points (9-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block Tuesday against VCU. Toppin looked like his usual self despite entering the contest questionable due to an ankle injury. He rewarded patient DFS managers with his best rebounding game since November, and the points are almost always there for the sophomore. A physical St. Louis defense awaits Friday, but Toppin has been largely matchup proof to date.
Richmond Player Spotlight
Blake Francis will miss four-to-six weeks due to a fractured sternum, the school announced Thursday. Francis, the team’s leading scorer with 17.6 ppg, was injured last Saturday in the closing minutes against St. Louis while scrambling for a loose ball. Andre Gustavson started Tuesday at Davidson in his absence, but Grant Golden, Nick Sherod and Jacob Gilyard all figure to shoulder more of the offensive onus with Francis sidelined.
NCAA College Basketball Betting Trends
Dayton
The Flyers have covered the spread in five of their last seven games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
Richmond
The Spiders are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage above .600.
Prediction
I like the over, which is a perfect 4-0 in Dayton’s last four games. The over is also 7-1-1 in the Flyers’ last nine road contests, is 16-5-1 in their last 22 games as a road favorite and 21-8-2 in their last 31 games played on Saturday. The over is also 25-8 in the Spiders’ last 33 home games when facing an opponent with a road winning percentage of greater than .600 and 24-11 in their last 35 games as a home underdog.
