LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) – Brandon Ewing scored 17 points to lead Wyoming to a 76-69 victory over Division II Chadron State on Monday.
The Eagles (3-9) pulled within 61-60 with 7:06 remaining in the game, but Ewing scored 10 of Wyoming’s final 15 points to help seal the win.
Ryan Dermody added 16 points for the Cowboys (6-6). Travis Nelson scored 11, and Eric Platt finished with 10.
Tim McLaurin led all scorers in the game with 21 points, and Andrew Gabellieri scored 16 for Chadron.
Platt and Dermody each hit two three-pointers during a 16-0 run that gave the Cowboys an early 22-6 lead, but the Eagles finished the half on a 30-19 run to pull within 41-36 at the break.
