YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) – Karrington Ward scored 15 points to lead a balanced Eastern Michigan attack past in-county foe Concordia University 100-42 on Sunday.
Jodan Price’s 3-pointer with 51 seconds left put Eastern Michigan into triple digits for the first time since Nov. 14, 2008.
Mike Samuels had a career-high 12 points for Eastern Michigan (11-2). Ethan Alvano, Mike Talley and Raven Lee added 10 points apiece as the Eagles made 33 of 60 field-goal attempts (55 percent), including 9 of 23 from 3-point land.
Concordia, an NAIA member, was led by Alec Turner with nine points. The Cardinals made just 15 of 52 shots (28.8 percent), turned the ball over 20 times and were outrebounded 40-28.
Eastern Michigan held its opponent to under 30 percent shooting from the field for the seventh time this season.
