CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -Andrew Goudelock scored 24 points to lead five College of Charleston players in double figures in a 100-80 victory over North Carolina-Wilmington on Friday night.
The Cougars (9-1) are off to their best start since the 2003-04 season, when they also started 9-1, and have won eight straight. Charleston hit 100 points for the first time since beating Appalachian State 108-96 on Feb. 15, 2003.
Tied at 29 with 8:01 left in the first half, Charleston went on a 16-3 run to close out the half at 45-32.
The Seahawks (3-8) could draw no closer than nine points at 60-51 with 15:10 left and trailed by as many as 25 in their fifth straight loss.
Jermaine Jones added 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Cougars, while Tony White Jr. scored 14, Dustin Scott tallied 13 and Jeremy Simmons had 11.
Johnny Wolf led UNC Wilmington with 22 points.
