KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Marcus Morris, one half of No. 4 Kansas’ high-scoring Morris twins, was helped off the court Saturday night with an apparent knee injury.
Morris went up for a defensive rebound and bumped shoulders with a Colorado State player and then crashed to the floor under the basket. He lay there several minutes in obvious pain and was helped into the tunnel with someone under each arm, not putting weight on his right leg.
Morris, a 6-9 junior, is leading the Jayhawks with 18 points a game, hitting more than 63 percent from the floor, and averaging 6.5 rebounds. His twin brother, Markieff, is averaging 12.4 points and 8.9 rebounds for the Jayhawks, who went into the game 8-0 and shooting 56.9 percent, No. 1 in the nation.
