HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -Jeremy Lin had 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead Harvard to a 67-64 win over Colgate on Saturday.
Harvard (4-2) opened the game with a 15-4 run before Colgate (2-5) responded with three consecutive baskets. The Crimson led 32-37 at halftime and were winning by as many as nine in the second half before Colgate went on an 11-2 run to tie it.
The teams traded baskets before Oliver McNally nailed a jumper, giving Harvard the lead for good.
With 57 seconds left, Colgate’s Willie Morse made a lay-up as he was fouled. After making a free throw, Colgate pulled within one.
Then Colgate’s Keith Wright fouled when he grabbed an offensive rebound and passed it back to the perimeter. Harvard made both free throws, sealing the lead.
Yaw Gyawu led Colgate with 17 points, and Alex Woodhouse scored 14.
Max Kenyi was the only other Harvard player in double figures with 11 points.
