SAN DIEGO (AP) -Forward Lorrenzo Wade will be able to rejoin San Diego State’s basketball team after felony burglary charges against him were dismissed on Thursday.
Wade had been indefinitely suspended since mid-October, when he was charged with stealing a television from a woman’s apartment.
“I spoke to Lorrenzo and his attorney and I feel very happy for Lorrenzo that he will not only be able to remain a student at San Diego State, but also will have the opportunity to rejoin the San Diego State basketball team,” coach Steve Fisher said.
Fisher said he needed to speak with athletic director Jeff Schemmel before deciding when Wade will rejoin the team.
Wade was a first-team All-Mountain West Conference pick last season, when he was the Aztecs’ leading scorer at 14.8 points per game. He was named to the preseason All-MWC team.
