LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -Kentucky forward Ramon Harris was taken to a hospital after colliding with a teammate during the first half of Kentucky’s game against Lamar on Tuesday night.
Harris, a junior, was preparing to run up the floor when he ran into guard Michael Porter. The two appeared to hit heads and both fell to the floor. Harris tried to get up, then fell back to the ground. He laid there several minutes before paramedics took him away on a stretcher with his mother at his side.
His condition was not immediately available.
Porter also had trouble getting up after the collision but was able to walk off the floor with an ice pack put over his left eye.
Harris is averaging 9.3 points and 3.2 rebounds this season for the Wildcats.
