VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) -Villanova center Casiem Drummond told the coaching staff on Monday that he will leave the Big East school and transfer.
The 6-foot-10 junior played in two games for the No. 17 Wildcats (6-0) and averaged 2.0 points and 2.5 rebounds. He started nine times in 42 career games at Villanova and missed most of last season with ankle injuries.
``Casiem is interested in finding a place where he can earn significantly more playing time than he has received here,'' Villanova coach Jay Wright said. ``Our staff is doing all it can to help him locate that opportunity.''
