CLEVELAND (AP) -Norris Cole scored 29 points and had five steals as Cleveland State held off Robert Morris 58-53 on Monday night to remain undefeated.
Cole scored 17 during the first half when the Vikings (8-0) shot 58.3 percent (14 of 24) and outscored the Colonials 33-17.
Cleveland State held Robert Morris (2-3) to just 5 of 19 from the field (26.3 percent) in the first half.
The Colonials bounced back in the second half, shooting 48.3 percent from the field (14 of 29), while limiting their turnovers. The Vikings scored 22 points off of 19 turnovers in the game, but scored just four points off of Robert Morris’ miscues in the second half.
Tevon Harmon added 13 points for Cleveland State, including 10 in the first half.
Robert Morris was led by Russell Jones with 22 points. Lijah Thompson chipped in 12 points for the Colonials.
