 BALTIMORE (AP) - Dylon Cormier scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Loyola (MD) past Coppin State 67-51 Wednesday night in nonconference action.
Cormier scored 12 points in the second half to help Loyola (7-1) overcome a 30-27 halftime deficit.
Loyola would open the second half on a 35-20 run to take a 62-50 lead with under four minutes to play.
After both teams shot under 35 percent in the first half, Loyola shot 42.3 percent (11 of 26) in the second half compared to Copper State (1-5) shooting just 22.6 percent (7 for 31).
Anthony Winbrush scored 12 points and led Loyola with 12 rebounds, as the Greyhounds outrebounded the Eagles 48-37 for the game.
Michael Murray finished with a double-double for the Eagles, totaling 10 points and 10 rebounds, and was the only player for Coppin State in double figures.
