WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -Purdue's staunch defense was too good for Central Michigan.
E'Twaun Moore scored 15 points and Robbie Hummel had 11 points and 11 rebounds, leading the No. 6 Boilermakers to a 64-38 rout Saturday.
But it certainly was not the kind of performance Boilermakers (5-0) fans expected after beating Tennessee earlier this week.
Purdue's offense looked stale after a four-day layoff, shooting just 40.9 percent from the field in the first half. The Boilermakers were 31.2 percent for the game from 3-point range.
Finis Craddock had eight points for Central Michigan, which has lost three straight. The Chippewas (2-4) were Mid-American Conference West Division co-champs last season and are the preseason favorites in the division this season.
