OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -Eniel Polynice and David Huertas had 17 points each Saturday to lead Mississippi to a 94-70 victory over Louisiana-Monroe.
Zach Graham and Chris Warren added 13 and 12 points, respectively for the Rebels (4-0), who extended their non-conference home winning streak to 15. Huertas had 15 second half points, while Polynice added five rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Jonas Brown had 14 points and Jordan Payne score 12 for Louisiana-Monroe (1-4). The Warhawks were 9-of-20 from three-point range, but could not overcome 30 turnovers.
Louisiana-Monroe raced to a 16-10 lead in the opening minutes, as Lance Brasher and Brown combined to hit five consecutive three-point shots. Ole Miss forced 16 first half turnovers and lead 42-38 at the half.
The Rebels opened the second half with a 13-4 run, including six points from Warren. Louisiana-Monroe never closed within 10 points again.
The Warhawks got to 57-45 on a free throw by Payne with 12:42 left before a 11-0 run by the Rebels put the game away.
Ole Miss, leading the Southeastern Conference at 95.3 ppg, finished with 49 percent from the field with only 10 turnovers.
