Duke is still No. 1 in The Associated Press college basketball poll. North Carolina, The Blue Devils’ rival, hung on after two losses at 25th.
Duke has started the season with three wins, and the Blue Devils again received 58 first-place votes from the national media panel on Monday.
Michigan State stayed second but the Spartans lost one of their seven first-place votes. Ohio State and Kansas State, which got the other No. 1 vote, switched places from last week at third and fourth.
Pittsburgh, Kansas, Villanova, Kentucky, Syracuse and Purdue rounded out the Top 10.
North Carolina, which lost two games at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, dropped from No. 8 to 25th.
Butler and Virginia Tech dropped out from last week, replaced by No. 15 Minnesota and No. 20 Texas.
