GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Terry Wisnant scored a game high 16 points; Michel-Ofik Nzege had 12 points and game leading 13 boards, and East Carolina beat Virginia University of Lynchburg 92-51 on Thursday night.
B.J. Tyson came off the bench to score 14 points and grab eight rebounds, with Caleb White adding 12 and Lance Tejada finishing with 10 for the Pirates, who shot 53 percent from the field, dished out 21 total assists, and outrebounded Va. Lynchburg by 29.
Hakeem Anthony scored a team high 14 points to lead the Dragons, who were held to just 28 percent shooting from the field and 22 percent from the 3-point line. Jacob Knight and Adrian Saunders each added eight, with Saunders finishing with a team high six rebounds.
East Carolina opened the game on a 17-2 run over the first seven minutes and took a 27 point lead into halftime.
