Fields powers East Carolina past N.C. Wesleyan Print

 GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -John Fields scored 12 points off the bench to lead East Carolina to an 88-69 victory against North Carolina Wesleyan on Tuesday night.
Cory Farmer and Brock Young each had 11 points for the Pirates (2-2), who trailed 38-37 at halftime before outscoring N.C. Wesleyan 51-31 in the second half.
Lenny Hall had 19 points on 5-of-18 shooting for Wesleyan (1-2), which shot 41 percent in its strong first half before being held to 25.6 percent in the final 20 minutes.
Darrell Jenkins added 11 points for East Carolina, which outrebounded Wesleyan 54-45 and forced 21 turnovers, turning them into 19 points.
East Carolina's bench outscored Wesleyan's 44-19.
Trey Drake had 10 points and 11 rebounds, Jarmel Arrington had 12 points off the bench and Buddy Williams had 10 points for Wesleyan.
