Hill, IUPUI dominate Alaska 82-47 Print

 FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) -George Hill scored 26 points as IUPUI overwhelmed host Alaska 82-47 on Sunday for fourth place in the BP Top of the World Classic.
Division II Alaska (3-2) took its only lead, 3-2, in the opening minutes when Mladen Begojevic hit a 3-pointer. The Jaguars scored 10 unanswered points and led 50-21 at halftime.
The domination by IUPUI continued in the second half. Alaska closed the gap to 27 points, 53-26, on a 3-pointer by DeRay Carger with 17:38 remaining but could get no closer.
The taller Jaguars outrebounded the Nanooks 41-23 and shot 52 percent from the field.
Alaska scored just 13 field goals, including six 3-pointers, but shot 15-for-17 from the free throw line.
Gary Patterson and Austin Montgomery scored 16 for the IUPUI. Patterson collected seven rebounds and had six assists.
Begojevic led the Nanooks with 15 points and Carger added 11.
