ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -The Big West is moving its men's and women's conference basketball tournaments to Honda Center starting in 2011.
The deal announced Tuesday will relocate the tournaments from the Anaheim Convention Center to the nearby arena for five years.
The home of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, has hosted men's NCAA tournament regionals in 1998, 2001 and 2003, and first and second round games last year. The men's West Regional will be held there in 2011.
The Big West first staged its conference tournament at the convention center from 1977-82 and again beginning in 2001. It will continue there in 2010.
