MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Darryl Clements had 22 points and seven rebounds to lead Bowling Green to a 82-61 victory over Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday in the NABC Classic.
Brian Moten added 21 points for the Falcons, who went 2-1 on the weekend in the season-opening tournament.
Craig Heiman had 18 points and five rebounds for Division-II Concordia (0-3), which lost all three games in this round-robin tournament that also features Minnesota and Georgia State.
The Golden Bears missed 15 of their first 17 shots and shot 30.5 percent for the game. They just couldn’t keep up with the quicker Falcons on either end of the floor.
Clements did pretty much whatever he wanted. He consistently got to the basket and made two of his three 3-point attempts.
Bowling Green’s only loss of the weekend came against host Minnesota on Saturday night.
