LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -Twin brothers Marcus and Markieff Morris each had double-doubles and No. 7 Kansas romped past Valparaiso 79-44 Monday night for the Jayhawks’ 61st consecutive home victory.
Kansas can tie its school record for consecutive wins at home on Friday night against North Texas.
Marcus Morris, one inch shorter than his 6-foot-10 sibling, had 11 rebounds and 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting for the Jayhawks (2-0), who have launched their season with a pair of lopsided victories.
Markieff Morris, who had a double-double against Longwood in the season opener, added 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Valparaiso (1-1), picked fourth in the Horizon League, had one lead – at 2-1. Cory Johnson and Kevin Van Wijk each had 10 points for the Crusaders and Brandon Wood had nine.
