The Citadel takes opener against Grace Bible Print

 CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -Demetrius Nelson scored 18 points and Cameron Wells added 15 as The Citadel won its season opener against Grace Bible College 81-72 Friday night.
The Bulldogs (1-0), who lost their last six games of the 2007-08 season, led 71-69 with 3:14 left before outscoring the Tigers 10-3 down the stretch.
Allen Durham led all scorers with 26 points for Grace Bible (3-2), followed by Paul Nelson with 19. The Citadel was the first Division I school to face Grace Bible, which has about 180 students and is located in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The Citadel led 38-33 at the half.
