 LAS VEGAS (AP) -Junior forward Joe Darger had a career high 19 points to lead UNLV past Division II Dixie State 97-66 in a non-conference game Tuesday night.
Darger also had eight rebounds and three blocks. Also for UNLV (2-0), Wink Adams had 16 points with four assists and Corey Bailey added 14 points.
Troy Randall scored 19 points and Ryan Sanchez added 13 points for Dixie State, which was playing its season-opener.
The Rebels jumped to a 17-5 lead and pushed the lead up to 46-23 by halftime. Dixie State came no closer than 50-34 in the second half.
