CONWAY, Ark. (AP) -The University of Central Arkansas Bears beat crosstown foe Div. III Hendrix College Warriors 68-40 Friday night. The Bear’s were lead by junior guard Jared Reheml’s 16 points. Reheml was 4 of 7 from behind the arc. Junior center Chris Williams added 10 points off the bench for Central Arkansas.
The Bears were able to force 22 Warrior turnovers and win the rebounding battle 47 to 43. The Bears shot 39.1 percent (27 of 69) from the field and held Hendrix to just 28.6 percent (16 of 56).
Next up for the Central Arkansas Bears (1-0) will be Tennessee Tech Monday night at home. Hendrix (0-1) will face the University of the Ozarks Monday night at home.
