ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -The last names on the Michigan roster are familiar for anyone who follows the NBA closely. Jordan Dumars, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jon Horford – all sons of NBA players – are teammates with the Wolverines.
Joe Dumars and Tim Hardaway each scored more than 15,000 points in the pros, and Tito Horford played briefly for Milwaukee and Washington. Now, their sons are pursuing their own careers, coincidentally at the same school.
Jon Horford also has a brother who plays in the NBA. Al Horford is a standout forward for the Atlanta Hawks.
Michigan coach John Beilein says he just wants his players to try to play to their potential and not worry about living up to whatever expectations may come from having such famous names.
