SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -Luke Harangody had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Tory Jackson added 15 points to lead ninth-ranked Notre Dame to a 79-47 win Sunday over Stonehill in the Irish’s final exhibition game.
After shooting just 38 percent in the first half and leading 29-24 at halftime, the Irish shot 57 percent in the second half while holding the Skyhawks to 29 percent shooting. The Irish opened the second half by making 8-of-11 shots, capping an 18-7 run when Harangody made an 18-foot jumper to give the Irish a 47-31 lead.
The Skyhawks never got any closer than 11 the rest of the way and Notre Dame took a 77-43 lead on a 15-foot jumper by Tim Andree with 1:16 left.
Luke Zeller added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Irish. A.J. Rudowitz led Stonehill with 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
