MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -Rodney McGruder scored 18 points and Jacob Pullen added 12 to help No. 3 Kansas State cruise past Division II Washburn 90-44 in its final exhibition game on Sunday.
Curtis Kelly added 11 points for the Wildcats, who head into the regular season with their highest preseason ranking ever and are favored to win their first Big 12 title.
Jordan Henriquez-Roberts had 9 points and 9 rebounds for the Wildcats, who got off to a slow start and lead at halftime only by 14 points. At that point, each team also had 23 rebounds.
Kansas State turned it into a rout with a 25-2 run in the second half.
Logan Stutz led the Ichabods with 12 points while Virgil Philistin and De’Andre Washington each had 10.
