LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -Freshman forward Terrence Jones had 23 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks to lead No. 11 Kentucky to a 122-54 win over Dillard on Friday night in the Wildcats’ final exhibition game.
Jones sleepwalked through Kentucky’s first exhibition, a 97-66 win over Pikeville on Monday. He had nine points and seven rebounds, but he shot poorly and spent much of the game in foul trouble. But in 30 minutes Friday, he had only one foul and shot 10 of 13 from the field.
Freshman point guard Brandon Knight finished with 20 points and six assists.
Kentucky shot 25 of 31 from the field in the second half and held Dillard, coached by former Kentucky player Dale Brown, to no fast-break or second-chance points in the game.
The Wildcats open their season Nov. 12 against East Tennessee State.
