PITTSBURGH (AP) -Bill Clark made all six of his 3-point attempts and Duquesne hit 20 overall in a 129-67 exhibition victory over Seton Hill on Saturday. Clark and Kojo Mensah, a transfer from Siena, each scored 20 points, while 6-foot-10 Shawn James, a Northeastern transfer, had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots. Kieron Achara helped out with 18 points and Gary Tucker scored 14. Clark, a 6-foot-5 freshman, was 11-of-12 from 3-point range as Duquesne easily won its two preseason games. The Dukes were 108-87 winners over Millersville on Thursday night, when Clark was 5-of-6 on 3-pointers. The Dukes, who put Saturday's game out of reach with a 21-0 run in the first half, were 20-of-34 on 3-pointers (58.8 percent) and 48-of-71 overall (67.6 percent). Duquesne will open the season Friday night against Howard. |
