Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger is a unanimous pick to The Associated Press’ preseason All-American team this season.
The 6-foot-9 Sullinger was a first-team All-American last season as a freshman. He averaged 17.2 points and 10.2 rebounds in leading the Buckeyes to a No. 1 ranking.
He was listed on all 65 ballots from a national media panel Monday.
North Carolina’s Harrison Barnes received 63 votes. He was the first freshman to ever make the AP preseason team. Barnes was joined on the team by fellow sophomores Terrence Jones of Kentucky with 34 votes and Jeremy Lamb of Connecticut with 25.
Senior guard Jordan Taylor of Wisconsin received 52 votes. He was a second-team All-America last season.
The preseason team was first chosen before the 1986-87 season.
