 MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) -Central Michigan senior Marcus Van has been dismissed from the basketball program for a violation of team rules.
Coach Ernie Zeigler said in a statement Friday that the 6-foot-7 center from Chicago would remain in school this semester. A message was left seeking comment from Van.
Van played in 30 games in 2007-08, his only season at Central Michigan. He averaged 5.8 points and a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game.
