WASHINGTON (AP) -George Washington basketball coach Karl Hobbs agreed Monday to a contract extension through 2012.
Hobbs is 114-65 since being hired by George Washington in 2001, including NCAA tournament appearances the last three seasons. The Colonials have won two Atlantic 10 tournament titles in the last three years.
“Karl has done an outstanding job for us here at GW,” athletic director Jack Kvancz said. “He is a special person who is also an excellent coach.”
