WASHINGTON (AP) -George Washington basketball coach Karl Hobbs agreed Monday to a contract extension through 2012.
Hobbs is 114-65 since being hired by George Washington in 2001, including NCAA tournament appearances the last three seasons. The Colonials have won two Atlantic 10 tournament titles in the last three years.
``Karl has done an outstanding job for us here at GW,'' athletic director Jack Kvancz said. ``He is a special person who is also an excellent coach.''
