BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Canisius basketball coach Tom Parrotta received a contract extension on Tuesday that will keep him at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference school through the 2010-11 season.
Parrotta led the Golden Griffins to a 12-19 record in 2006-07, his first season. The former Hofstra assistant took over for Mike MacDonald, who was fired after a 9-20 season.
The Golden Griffins return six players from last year's squad, including Frank Turner, who shared conference rookie of the year honors last season.
