JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -Mississippi State center Jarvis Varnado is in the hospital undergoing tests after falling ill during a morning workout.
Varnado felt nauseous and was first taken to a doctor Monday before being moved to a hospital in Tupelo for tests.
Though the illness is not considered serious, a spokesman says the school is taking ``every precautionary measure'' with the Southeastern Conference tournament MVP.
The spokesman, Gregg Ellis, says doctors believe initially that Varnado's illness can be attributed to exhaustion and a bad diet.
Varnado is one of this year's premier returning seniors after two years as the nation's leading shot blocker.
