MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) Middle Tennessee has added former Arkansas forward Jacorey Williams and Trinity Valley Community College transfer Aldonis Foote to the program.
Foote, a 6-foot-6 guard, will be eligible to play for Middle Tennessee immediately. Williams must sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Arkansas coach Mike Anderson said last week that Williams wouldn’t return to the Razorbacks. Williams and two other Arkansas players were arrested last month, with police saying they used counterfeit money to buy merchandise at three locations near campus.
In a school release Thursday announcing the additions of both players, Middle Tennessee coach Kermit Davis said ”we have done our due diligence in this process.”
Williams averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds last season. Foote averaged 9.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in his 67-game career at Trinity Valley.
