INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Former Indiana basketball stars Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller joined new Hall of Fame inductee Bobby ”Slick” Leonard for a small reunion Wednesday night in Indianapolis.
The three sat at a table signing autographs at Lucas Oil Stadium.
For Oladipo and Zeller, both lottery picks in the 2013 NBA draft, it rekindled memories of their final season together at Indiana. Most expected that team to come through the Midwest Regional, which was played at Lucas Oil.
But instead, they were sent East and wound up losing in the regional semifinals to Syracuse.
Zeller and Oladipo have been working out on Indiana’s campus this week along with Dwyane Wade, Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem from the Miami Heat. Wade, like Zeller and Oladipo, played for coach Tom Crean in college.
