NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) - A law firm is calling for Rutgers University's central administration to take more control of its athletic department.
The recommendation is among several in a report released Monday.
It was commissioned by the university after the basketball coach was fired in April for verbally and physically abusing players. The scandal also let to the resignations of the university's athletic director and top in-house lawyer.
The report calls for the athletic director and athletic department's chief financial officer both to report to a university senior vice president.
