SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) -Connecticut will play Gonzaga and Providence will face Boston College in the second annual Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge in Boston's TD Banknorth Garden on Dec. 1.
Gonzaga, the lone non-New England school in the doubleheader, was in last year's inaugural event, beating Texas in Phoenix.
The Connecticut-Gonzaga game is the first of a neutral-court series between the schools. In December 2008, Connecticut will play Gonzaga in their ``Battle in Seattle'' at Key Arena.
The Providence-Boston College game used to be a Big East matchup. Boston College left the conference for the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2005.
The games will be televised on the ESPN networks.
Arizona beat Illinois in the other game in the inaugural event.
