 JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -Former Texas Christian University assistant Sean Woods was chosen as the new head basketball coach at Mississippi Valley State University on Tuesday.
Woods replaces James Green, who left earlier this year to become the new coach at Jacksonville State in Alabama.

The two other finalists for the MVSU job were Texas Southern assistant Lacey Reynolds, a former head coach at Grambling State and Harvey Wardell, an assistant at Tougaloo College.
