SAN FRANCISCO (AP) The Pac-12 Conference will send an all-star men’s basketball team to Australia in July for a series of exhibition games.
A team of 12 student-athletes from 10 schools will play two games against the Australian National Team in Melbourne and another against a team from the semi-professional South East Australian Basketball League.
Former California coach Mike Montgomery will serve as the head coach for a team that will include Washington State’s Josh Hawkinson, USC’s Jordan McLaughlin and Colorado’s Wesley Gordon.
The team will have a three-day training camp in Los Angeles from July 5-7 in preparation for the July 9-14 tour.
The Pac-12 sent an all-star team to China in 2014 and held a regular-season game there last season. Stanford will face Harvard in Shanghai this season.
