DAVIS, Calif. (AP) – UC Davis basketball coach Jim Les has signed a contract extension through the 2020-21 season.
The school announced the deal Friday.
Les led the Aggies to the Big West regular-season title and a spot in the National Invitation Tournament last season. They were 14-2 in the Big West and 25-7 overall, a year after going 9-22. The turnaround was the biggest in NCAA Division I last season.
The 51-year-old Les is 53-72 in four seasons at UC Davis. The former Bradley guard was 154-140 in nine seasons at his alma mater from 2002-11.
Les played seven seasons in the NBA with Utah, the Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento and Atlanta.
