RADFORD, Va. (AP) – Radford University men’s basketball coach Brad Greenberg has resigned.
The university announced Greenberg’s resignation on its website Thursday evening and said a national search for a replacement will begin immediately. No other details were provided.
Officials from the athletics department did not immediately return phone messages on Thursday to The Associated Press.
The 57-year-old Greenberg was suspended for four games in February for NCAA violations tied to impermissible team travel and associated extra benefits for an ineligible player.
In four seasons, Greenberg compiled an overall record of 55-68 and a Big South conference record of 35-33. The Highlanders were 5-24 overall and 2-16 in the league last season.
