Arizona coach Sean Miller spent about 40 hours over the weekend mulling over another coaching opportunity.
And, no, it wasn’t a ploy to get a new contract.
Miller said Monday he owed it to himself to at least listen to an offer to coach Maryland. The coach who led the Wildcats to an impressive turnaround ultimately decided to stay in the desert, agreeing to a contract extension over the weekend.
Miller also said, despite speculation, there is no strain on his relationship with Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne and his wife is happy living in Tucson despite their ties on the East Coast.
