BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – Indiana point guard Kevin ”Yogi” Ferrell will return to school for his senior season.
He made the announcement Sunday in a news release distributed by the athletic department.
The decision means Indiana’s top eight scorers all will be back next season to go along with top recruit Thomas Bryant. Ferrell averaged a team-high 16.3 points and finished fourth in the Big Ten with 4.9 assists last season. He is No. 22 on the school’s career scoring list with 1,379 points, sixth in assists with 438 and fourth in 3-pointers made with 193.
Ferrell says it is in his ”best interests” to continue his education and continue developing as a player.
Earlier this month forward Troy Williams and guard James Blackmon Jr. also announced they would return next season.
