CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -North Carolina's Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington will announce Thursday afternoon whether they will return for their senior seasons or enter the NBA draft.
The school says the duo will hold a news conference along with coach Roy Williams. Lawson and Ellington helped lead the Tar Heels to victory at the national championship earlier this month.
Both players entered the draft last year, but did not hire an agent and decided to return to school - an option they can use only once.
Lawson was a second-team Associated Press All-American and the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year. He was second on the team in scoring at nearly 17 points per game.
Ellington was third at nearly 16 points and was the most outstanding player at the Final Four.
