LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -Kentucky forward Patrick Patterson will test the NBA waters but will not hire an agent.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore said Wednesday he wants to get a feel for his draft status before making a decision. By not signing with an agent, Patterson could return to Kentucky. The draft is June 25.
Patterson averaged 17.9 points and 9.3 rebounds and was named to the All-SEC X team. New Kentucky coach John Calipari said he believes Patterson would benefit from another year in school but encouraged him to go through the process.
