ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -Siena coach Fran McCaffery has a new eight-year contract.
McCaffery, who had two years remaining on his contract, confirmed the deal at a news conference Wednesday.
The terms have not been released. Siena athletics director John D'Argenio said in a prepared statement that he was pleased McCaffery and the school reached an agreement.
The Saints have won straight two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championships. They lost to Louisville in the second round of this year's NCAA tournament after beating Ohio State.
The 49-year-old McCaffery is 85-44 in four seasons with Siena.
