INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Indiana has climbed aboard the Butler bandwagon.
The Bulldogs’ run to Monday night’s national championship game against Duke has captured the interest and hearts of the state’s fervent fans – from the hometown of sophomore star Gordon Hayward to the site of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
Butler’s 25-game winning streak and nail-biter wins over teams like Michigan State, Syracuse and Kansas State have already made it a season to remember. If Butler beats the favored Blue Devils, the real-life Hoosiers of Indiana will have another stirring chapter in its storied basketball history.
