WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) – Sophomore guard Bryson Scott is planning to transfer from Purdue.
Coach Matt Painter says Scott sought and was granted his release.
The 6-foot-1 guard from Fort Wayne, Indiana, averaged 3.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists last season when he appeared in 25 games. Over two seasons with the Boilermakers, Scott played in 57 games and averaged 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds.
Scott has not said where he will play next. His twin brother, Brenton, plays at Indiana State and was recently selected as the Missouri Valley Conference’s freshman of the year after averaging 11.4 points and led the Sycamores with 57 3-pointers.
